Original owner is shown to have taken delivery of this Mercedes Benz in Germany shortly after it's production in 1966.

Vehicle was factory serviced at 432m in Munich, Germany on the 18th of July 1966. At some point thereafter vehicle arrived in New Orleans where it remained until 2000. All work performed on this fine automobile after it's arrival to the United States through 1995, was carefully catalogued in it's service manual by original owner, who meticulously kept a trove of numerous fragile workshop receipts, They leave no doubt that this 250SE was faithfully maintained at all required intervals during it's time in LA.

The original owner passed away in 1995 and this car sat idle in storage until it was purchased as a weekend driver by the present owner in 2000 from his son. It had 98015 miles on the odometer, the decorative wood and leather interior needed some attention but it cranked right up and purred like it still does today, a true Mercedes Benz.

Present owner has since undertaken all costs associated with substantial cosmetic and mechanical restoration beginning in 2000 with the replacement of it's heater core. New front windshield, ventilation levers, leather seats and door panels, carpeting, door seals and headliner were installed in 2009. All woodwork was refinished in Hickory, NC. The original Becker radio still works and was retrofitted in NJ with AUX port for the pleasure of audiophiles. For that purpose, easily removable, discreetly placed powered speakers and an amplifier were also installed in vehicle at the time. Comprehensive chassis and suspension work including replacement of 'King' pins was undertaken by BUD's Benz, GA. Engine and other mechanical overhaul was performed in 2017 by Master Mechanic Jose Rodriguez at VRII in Atlanta, who has been principal technician for all routine maintenance on this vehicle since 2000 and whose body shop is responsible for the immaculate paint and bodywork on this rare example of a timeless Mercedes Benz, which is here offered for sale to the discerning buyer. Comes with all service records and books.
